Mauri & Welcome to Te Bauntokanikai Website!
Te Bauntokanikai (or Te Bauntokanikai Enterprise) is a Tabomatang Kiribati Uniting Church (KUC) Community body - also known as (a.k.a) Tion Uean Bauntokanikain Tabomatang Community. The shareholders of the Bauntokanikai Enterprise are the people of Tabomatang Community. Tabomatang itself is one of the six villages, located furthest to the south, on the island of Nikunau, in the southern part of Kiribati.
Bauntokanikai Enterprise was first established in 2016 as a merchandise retailer whose major goal was to improve the welfare of Tabomatang Tion Uean Bauntokanikai Community for a betterment. The service coverage is not constrained to the people of Tabomatang only but to the whole island as well. Two branches have been established later on; one at Rungata village, which is about an hour away drive, and another one is located in Bikenibeu, South Tarawa (the capital island). The Rungata branch serves the people at the northern part of the island where the island's population is considerably dense. The Bikenibeu branch was recently established which now greatly serves the people at that particular locality, since this locality is quite isolated and it is hard to find stores or malls around.
